A graduate of the Royal College of Music, Ellie specialises as a Musical Director, teacher and keys player. An experienced player within classical symphony orchestras (as both a brass player and pianist) and contemporary bands, she is able to play a large variety of styles.

She has worked with Cynthia Erivo, Cassidy Jasnson, Carrie Hope-Fletcher, Caroline Quentin, Caroline Sheen, Tony Christie, Rosemary Ashe, and Julie Atherton, composers Brian Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan, Robert Sherman and Sarah Travis, and loves spending time in the recording studio collaborating with singer-songwriters and musicians for their albums and EPs.

Ellie played keys for Jersey Boys (Prince Edward theatre, London), and every year plays for the Laurence Olivier bursary auditions in the West End. She works regularly with actor-musicians who embark on national tours with Blackeyed Theatre, and was MD for the Frankfürt production of The Last Five Years, by Jason Robert Brown. She conducted a large symphony orchestra at the Shepherds Bush Empire for Buswell’s Underground Orchestra Challenge.

She was the assistant to the conductor and film director for two notable gigs at the Royal Albert Hall. Reading the orchestral scores and helping to direct the film crew to record important solos and musical features, Ellie was part of the team for Celebrating Jon Lord and the Teenage Cancer Trust’s gig featuring Bring Me The Horizon, with Toward Infinity productions. The resulting DVD’s were international best sellers.

As a teacher of 25 years, she is passionate about educating our future generations of performers, with a heavy emphasis within their training focusing on managing and encouraging sustainable health and mental wellness protocols. She currently works at Read College, in Reading (Berkshire), and is a qualified remedial massage therapist, specialising in the treatment of performing artists and singers.
